Udders at Goldhill Centre, Thomson Road (3 Oct 08)
A few shop lots away from Your Woul, you will find Udders, a local ice cream parlor. I only know of the Island Creamery at Serene Centre but Udders, is a new find for me. Opens from 12pm - 11pm Mon-Thurs, Sun and 12pm - 12am on Fri, Sat and eve of public holidays.
This place was buzzing with people - families, teenagers, kids and more kids. At 10pm, mind you. Interestingly, Udders offer 3 types of ice creams i.e. classic, premium and connoisseur. Classic consist of the more regular flavors, premium consist mainly of the range of alcoholic ice cream (gauge by the bitterness) and connoisseur, as expected the really distinct flavors e.g. mao san wang durian, baileys and bourbon... Just to give you an idea, the alcoholic ice cream had names like lychee martini, tira-misu... the local flavors like champion chempedak, gila melaka and attap chi, s-cream and cookie etc. The regular flavors were green tea, vanilla, mocha moc, pistachio etc and sorbet, they have mango, pear, lemon, soursop... hei, I can't remember all the flavours and probably got a few wrong.
Anyway, I had 2 scoops - Crazy chempedak and Gila melaka with attap chi (S$4.90). Excellent! Apparently, they also have waffles. Definitely, must come back.
p.s. I went back a second time and had the vanilla (with marzipan and almond)... my favorite so far.
