Very nice fresh water prawn noodle from Yik Kee (Jalan Besar, Karak). RM30!!! The prawns are so fresh... Local from Triang, a small town near Temerloh.

Tapestry - Eggs Benedict & French Toast

Everyone is longing for normalcy as we gladly accept the removal of travel and other restrictions but that is not commonly shared as some are still cautious of the risk of being infected, which I think is fair. A visit to the Asian Heritage Row recently reveals that recovery is no where near, a once popular drinking hole for white collar professionals in the city dotted by popular restaurants all around is a far cry from its hey days. Shuttered stores with signs for sale or rental was a scary sight and tell tale sign of how the businesses were pummelled by the lockdown. Flanked by Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Raja Abdullah, KLites throng this area especially during the weekend for a slice of coffee and breakfast culture.  Before the pandemic, getting a table at the Tapestry would be basically impossible without prior reservation. Seoul 12-16 Sep 2008 (Part 4)

Day 4, Sep 16 - Lunch (Bulgogi) My flight was at 4pm. Had to be at the Incheon airport by 2pm latest. My friend, Ryan was kind enough to take half day leave to pick me up and send me to the airport. My morning was spend blogging.  Anyway, we reached the airport before 2pm. Checked in my luggage and went for lunch at a korean restaurant on the 2nd floor of the departure hall. I ordered the bulgogi while Ryan ordered the dry buckwheat noodle. The bulgogi was rather average. Ryan's cold noodle was not bad. Apparently, the restaurant is reputable for good cold noodle.   The flight back felt shorter. Dunno why... I had a great trip. Hope to be back in Seoul soon.

Vegetarianism - Restoran Tze Ern

Vegetarian culture exists in our society, not merely driven by religion but gradually influenced by society’s desire to be healthier and more environmentally friendly. Eating meat indirectly commits oneself to taking away a life, which brings about potential karmic retribution according to Buddhism. Scientifically, it would also mean ever growing demand for livestock and destruction of our natural environment and resources to accommodate its growth which leads to deforestation and global warming. So, if everyone converts to vegetarianism wouldn’t the world be saved and we will be living guilt-free? 😆 If dedicating oneself to vegetarianism brings such liberating moral happiness, why stop there? Go further to deny mock meat and achieve the purity of conscious. Despite swearing my loyalty to that favorite vegetarian restaurant, betrayal was forthcoming as in life, I want something more than soy.  Ordering for the first time from Tze Ern, my selections were unadventurous - Sang Har Me...
